What is Gate 55 in Human Design?
Gate 55 is the Gate of Spirit. It carries an Individual emotional frequency that can show the very high and very deep levels of feeling, or a striking absence of feeling. Spirit here is not a concept (the Ajna) or an instinct (the Spleen). It is an emotion, and Gate 55 is where that awareness of spirit is expressed.
Gate 55 lives in the Solar Plexus Center, which is both a motor and an awareness Center. The Individual wave it belongs to looks like a flat line broken by sharp spikes up and sharp spikes down. In the quiet stretches between those spikes, something new can come through.
Its I Ching hexagram is Abundance (hexagram 55, Feng), a peak of fullness that does not last. For Gate 55, abundance is not money or possessions: it is how full or empty life feels in this moment. One day the cup seems to overflow; the next, for no visible reason, it drains.
