The Industry 1 (30/29 | 34/20)

With Recognition of Feelings as your conscious Sun, the theme is feeling what you are committing to: you are here to know your own response, and Saying Yes, the conscious Earth, grounds it in the commitments you take on. The Industry 2 (29/30 | 20/34)

With Saying Yes as your conscious Sun, the theme is the commitment itself, and Recognition of Feelings, the Earth, asks what it feels like to keep it. On the Design side The Now is the Sun and Power the Earth, so the voice leads in the background and the strength sits underneath it.

Gate 30: Recognition of Feelings

Gate 30, Recognition of Feelings, sits in the Solar Plexus, the Center of emotions and waves, and its hexagram is The Clinging Fire. It completes Channel 30-41 with Gate 41 in the Root, a design of focused energy, on the Collective circuit. Its lines run from Composure and Pragmatism through Resignation and Burnout to Irony and Enforcement. As a Sun it makes your purpose the question of what you truly want to go through. As an Earth it grounds the cross in the feeling the work asks of you.

Gate 29: Saying Yes

Gate 29, Saying Yes, sits in the Sacral, the largest motor, and its hexagram is The Abysmal. It completes Channel 29-46 with Gate 46 in the G Center, a design of succeeding where others fail, on the Collective circuit. Its lines run from The Draftee and Assessment through Directness to Overreach and Confusion, which tells the whole story of saying yes: you can enter willingly or under pressure, and you can take on too much. As a Sun it makes commitment your theme. As an Earth it gives your feelings something to commit to.

Gate 34: Power

Power, Gate 34, is a Sacral Gate whose hexagram is The Power of the Great. Its lines go from The Bully and Momentum to Triumph and Common sense. Together with Gate 20 in the Throat it forms Channel 20-34, which means the Channel is fully defined here. Its other two Channels run to Gate 10 in the G Center and to Gate 57 in the Spleen. In this cross it is on the Design side in both rotations, so the strength may not feel like yours. Others tend to feel it first.

Gate 20: The Now

Gate 20, The Now, is the one Gate here in the Throat, so it speaks. Its hexagram is Contemplation, and its lines run from Superficiality and The Dogmatist to Realism and Wisdom. It completes Channel 20-34 with Gate 34 in the Sacral, and it can also join Gate 10 in the G Center and Gate 57 in the Spleen. On the Design side in both rotations, it gives the cross a voice that speaks in the present without a plan, and others may hear it before you do.

A Channel that sits below awareness

Gates 34 and 20 make Channel 20-34, Charisma, and both sit on the Design side in both rotations. Every rotation carries all four Gates, so everyone with this cross has this Channel defined. It joins the Sacral straight to the Throat, which makes you a Manifesting Generator. The cross fixes your Type but not your Authority. The rest of your chart does that.

Design side means you may not experience yourself as charismatic. Other people might. That is a quiet reason you get asked to do things and to speak for the group. And because a Left Angle cross works through people, much of what you learn about this Channel comes from what others ask of you.

Two Gates in the Sacral, one conscious and one not

Gates 29 and 34 both sit in the Sacral, the largest motor, which renews daily. It is the only Center here with two of the four Gates. One is Saying Yes and the other is Power: the willingness to take something on, and the strength to carry it.

They sit on opposite sides of awareness. Gate 29 is a conscious placement, so the yes is something you can feel and choose. Gate 34 is on the Design side, so the strength behind it runs on its own. That can surprise you in two ways: you may do more than you expected, or you may be asked for more than you meant to offer. Gate 29's lines end on Overreach and Confusion, and the cross takes that as a warning.

A shared yes on top, a personal strength below

Gates 29 and 30 sit on the Collective circuit, the circuit named for the group. Gates 20 and 34 sit on the Individual circuit. In this cross the conscious pair is Collective and the Design pair is Individual.

Read it as a shape. What you choose and feel with awareness turns toward other people, to their needs, their asks and their stories. The strength you carry without noticing is your own, and it shows up when others call on it. That is a Left Angle pattern: the visible choices are about others, and the quiet power underneath is what lets you keep them.

Why the Industry is a Left Angle cross

A Left Angle cross is transpersonal: the purpose is worked out through other people, and your life tends to be shaped by who you meet. In Industry the yes and the work are given shape by others. Someone asks, you answer, and what you build together is what the cross is for. The Left Angle goes with four Profiles: 5/1, 5/2, 6/2, 6/3. With one of these, these four Gates make the Left Angle cross; with a 4/1 Profile the same Gates make a Juxtaposition cross instead.

Living the Industry cross

At work

Industry fits work that is steady, hands-on and valued by others: building, producing, finishing, supporting a team that depends on you. You are a Manifesting Generator, so you can move quickly and do several things in a row, and you do best on work you chose by responding to it. Watch for saying yes only because someone needed you. Gate 29's Draftee and Overreach lines are warnings.

In relationships

In relationships you show love by showing up and getting things done, and you may need others to tell you what the effort means to them. Because the cross works through people, notice who asks things of you and how you feel after you say yes. A partner who says thank you and also asks how you are is worth a great deal.

In decisions

The cross fixes your Type but not your Authority, so decisions follow the rest of your chart. As a Manifesting Generator, respond to what is in front of you instead of starting from nothing, and notice how your body answers before you say yes. Gate 29 is the Gate of the committed yes, and a committed yes is easier to keep.

Answer with your Strategy and your Authority first, and let the work you say yes to be the work that feels like yours. Your Strategy and Authority are how you get there; the cross is where it leads.
