Left Angle Cross of Healing
The Left Angle Cross of Healing is a Human Design Incarnation Cross made of Gates 25, 46, 58 and 52. It is a name for a theme of Gates, not a treatment: a trusting sense of self and its direction, joined to pressure and stillness in the Root, all worked out through other people.
Simple way to think about it: Picture a river between two banks. One bank is who you are, steady and plain. The other is the pressure to move, to start, to push on. The water only finds its course when something real stands in the way, and in this cross that something is usually another person.

Match them to the rotations below to see which of the two you carry. The chart symbols guide shows where the Sun and Earth sit in the two planet columns.
The Healing cross on the BodyGraph
The four Gates sit in just two Centers: Gates 25 and 46 in the G Center, and Gates 58 and 52 in the Root. The conscious pair, 25 and 46, is also a pair in the Right Angle Cross of The Vessel of Love, and the Design pair, 58 and 52, is also a pair in the Right Angle Cross of Service. Healing takes one pair from each.

The two rotations of the Healing cross
Find the rotation whose first number matches your Personality Sun. The quarter it sits in gives the rotation its number, 1 or 2.
The Healing 1 (25/46 | 58/52)
With The Spirit of the Self as your conscious Sun, identity leads: you come to know who you are by how you meet people, and The Determination of the Self, your conscious Earth, gives that identity a direction. Vitality and Stillness work on the Design side, so the pressure and the pause run underneath. Healing 1 falls in the Initiation quarter of the wheel, where purpose is worked out through the mind.
The Healing 2 (46/25 | 52/58)
With The Determination of the Self as your conscious Sun, direction leads: you feel the push to move upward and look for others to move with. The Spirit of the Self, your conscious Earth, keeps that push honest. Stillness and Vitality run on the Design side, so others may notice your timing before you do. Healing 2 falls in the Duality quarter, where purpose is worked out through bonding.
The four Gates in plain language
Start with the Gate that holds your Personality Sun, then its Earth, then the Design pair.
Gate 25: The Spirit of the Self
The G Center, the Center of identity, direction and love, is where Gate 25, The Spirit of the Self, lives. Its hexagram is Innocence. Paired with Gate 51 in the Heart it forms Channel 25-51, Initiation, which belongs to the Individual circuit. Its lines run from Selflessness to Ignorance, through The Existentialist and Survival. As a Sun it makes your purpose a question of who you are when nothing is being asked of you. As an Earth it keeps the cross open and unguarded.
Gate 46: The Determination of the Self
Gate 46, The Determination of the Self, is the other G Center Gate, and its hexagram is Pushing Upward. Gate 29 in the Sacral is its partner in Channel 29-46, Discovery, a Collective circuit Channel. Being discovered opens its six lines and Integrity closes them, with Projection and Impact in between. As a Sun it makes your purpose a question of direction and how you carry yourself on the way. As an Earth it asks that the way you go stays true to you.
Gate 58: Vitality
Gate 58, Vitality, sits in the Root, the Center of pressure and drive. Its hexagram is The Joyous. It completes Channel 18-58 with Gate 18 in the Spleen, named Judgment, a Channel of the Collective circuit. Its lines run from Love of life and Perversion to Defense and Carried away. In this cross it sits on the Design side in rotation 1 as the Sun, and as the Earth in rotation 2. It brings an eagerness for life that other people tend to feel before you name it.
Gate 52: Stillness
Gate 52, Stillness, also sits in the Root. Its hexagram is Keeping Still. It completes Channel 9-52 with Gate 9 in the Sacral, named Concentration, and the canon places it in a format energy Channel. Its lines run from Think before you speak through Self-discipline to Peacefulness. In this cross it works on the Design side as well, so a quiet, steadying pause shapes how you act, often without being planned. It is the brake that sits next to Vitality's accelerator.
A cross built from just the G Center and the Root
Of all the ways four Gates can be spread, this cross takes the narrowest. Two Gates are in the G Center, which holds identity and direction. Two are in the Root, which holds pressure and the push to begin. Nothing else is involved: no Throat, no Ajna, no awareness Center among the Gates themselves.
That gives Healing a very plain shape. The cross is a conversation between who you are and what presses on you. The G Center asks where you are going and who you are going with. The Root asks how much you can take on and how fast. Because it is a Left Angle cross, neither question is settled alone. The answers keep coming from the people you spend time with.
Gate 52, the format energy Gate in a cross about pressure
Gate 52 is the one Gate of the cross that the canon places in a format energy Channel, 9-52, Concentration, which it forms with Gate 9 in the Sacral. Its hexagram, Keeping Still, says what it is for: it is the Gate of the cross that stays put while the rest moves.
That makes it an odd partner for Vitality. Gate 58 pushes toward life and enthusiasm; Gate 52 holds back until the moment is right. The first line of Stillness is Think before you speak, and the last is Peacefulness. In a cross that runs through other people, this can show up as the one who stays steady while those around them are in a rush, and who is trusted for it.
One motor Center and the people who complete its Channels
The Root is the only motor Center among the four Gates, and it is also a pressure Center. It holds both Gate 58 and Gate 52. The other motors appear only through partner Gates, never through the cross itself: the Sacral through Gates 9 and 29, and the Heart through Gate 51.
The Channels these Gates complete belong to two circuits. Channel 25-51 is Individual, the circuit about being yourself. Channels 29-46, 9-52 and 18-58 are Collective, the circuit about shared experience and what people learn together. Three of the four are Collective, which fits the Left Angle theme: pressure is not a private matter, and the partners who complete these Channels, one Gate at a time, are the ones who help it find a use.
Why the Healing is a Left Angle cross
A Left Angle cross is transpersonal: the purpose is worked out through other people, and your life tends to be shaped by who you meet. For Healing that means identity and pressure are both shaped by company. You learn who you are, and how hard to push, by seeing how the people near you respond. The Left Angle goes with four Profiles: 5/1, 5/2, 6/2, 6/3. With one of these, these four Gates make the Left Angle cross; with a 4/1 Profile the same Gates make a Juxtaposition cross instead.
Your Sun line: how the line colors this cross
Your Personality Sun has a line as well as a Gate: the number after the dot. 25.5 means Gate 25, Line 5. Open your rotation below and find your line. The line title comes from the Rave I Ching; the sentence after it is how that line tends to color the Healing cross.
Healing 1: Personality Sun in Gate 25, The Spirit of the Self
| 25.1 Selflessness | You give without keeping score, and the cross asks you to notice when that stops being a choice. |
|---|---|
| 25.2 The Existentialist | You ask big questions about being here at all, and your answers shape how freely you meet others. |
| 25.3 Sensibility | You have a good feel for what is fitting in a given moment, and people trust your judgment on it. |
| 25.4 Survival | You know how to stay in the game, and that steadiness is part of why others rely on you. |
| 25.5 Recuperation | You pace your effort in cycles, and the people around you learn to respect your rhythm. |
| 25.6 Ignorance | You see what you do not yet know about yourself, and leaving that gap open is what lets you learn. |
Healing 2: Personality Sun in Gate 46, The Determination of the Self
| 46.1 Being discovered | People find you before you go looking, and being seen is part of how your direction forms. |
|---|---|
| 46.2 The Prima Donna | You can enjoy attention, and the cross asks you to make sure you also give something back. |
| 46.3 Projection | Others project their hopes onto where you are headed, and you learn to tell their path from yours. |
| 46.4 Impact | What you do lands on people, and you grow by noticing what your actions leave behind. |
| 46.5 Pacing | You set your own pace, and the cross asks you to keep it even when others hurry you. |
| 46.6 Integrity | You stay true to what matters, and your direction is trusted because your actions match your word. |
Living the Healing cross
At work
People with this cross often end up the steady one in the room, the person others come to when things speed up and someone needs to keep a clear head. Work goes best when you have colleagues to move with, and a way to choose your own pace. Be careful with roles that ask for constant pressure with no room to pause.
In relationships
In relationships this cross works through the exchange of trust and timing. Because the G Center Gates are about identity and the Root Gates carry pressure, a partner can bring out either your ease or your urgency. Notice which one you become around each person, and what that tells you about who you are with them.
In decisions
Healing does not hand you an answer for each choice. It gives your life a theme: being yourself, in company, under pressure. When a decision feels urgent, check whether the pressure is yours or someone else's before you act on it.
Answer with your Type and your inner Authority, and let your pace and direction come from choices that were truly yours. Your Strategy and Authority are how you get there; the cross is where it leads.
When the Healing cross is misread
"The name Healing means this cross is about treating illness"
"Two Root Gates mean I am always under pressure"
"Left Angle means I must live for other people"
Questions to sit with
One question for each Gate. Notice which one you answer quickly and which one you avoid.
- Gate 25: When did you last feel fully yourself, and who was with you?
- Gate 46: Where do you feel the pull to move upward right now, and who would you like to go there with?
- Gate 58: What in your life still brings real enthusiasm, and how often do you make time for it?
- Gate 52: What would change if you waited one more day before acting on something that feels urgent?

FAQ: Left Angle Cross of Healing
What is the Left Angle Cross of Healing?
It is a Left Angle Incarnation Cross in Human Design made of Gates 25, 46, 58 and 52. Its theme is identity and direction in the G Center, with pressure and stillness in the Root, worked out through other people.
Which Healing rotation do I have?
Read the four numbers after the cross name on your chart. 25/46 | 58/52 is Healing 1, with The Spirit of the Self as your Personality Sun. 46/25 | 52/58 is Healing 2, with The Determination of the Self as your Personality Sun.
What does Carried away add to a cross called Healing?
Carried away is line 6 of Gate 58, Vitality, a Root Gate with the hexagram The Joyous. Healing sets it beside Gate 52, Stillness, whose last line is Peacefulness. Across the Design pair the top lines go from being swept up to being at peace, which is a useful way to read the two Gates together.
Does the name Healing say anything about health?
No. The name labels a set of four Gates and their themes. It makes no claim about the body or any condition, and nothing on this page is medical advice.
Why are only two Centers involved in Healing?
The four Gates are split two and two: Gates 25 and 46 in the G Center, Gates 58 and 52 in the Root. The cross is a pairing of identity and direction with pressure and stillness.
What do the four hexagram names of Healing read like together?
They are Innocence for Gate 25, Pushing Upward for Gate 46, Keeping Still for Gate 52 and The Joyous for Gate 58. Gates 25 and 46 sit in the G Center and Gates 52 and 58 in the Root, so the cross moves between identity and the pressure and drive underneath it.
